About Us
Mission
At VET Global Impact, our mission is to empower veterans, service members, and their families by addressing the critical challenges they face during and after military service. We are committed to advancing mental health support, suicide prevention, education, workforce development, and family reintegration in the United States.
Through our programs, we ensure that those who served our nation have access to the resources, opportunities, and community support they need to thrive. By investing in their wellbeing and future, we not only honor their sacrifice but also strengthen families, communities,
and society as a whole.

Our History
VET Global Impact was founded in 2025 by Kerryl Musungu, a U.S. Army veteran who experienced firsthand the challenges faced by service members and their families during and after military service. Driven by a lifelong commitment to serve beyond the uniform, Kerryl established the organization to address critical gaps in support for veterans, military families, and their unique communities. Kerryl brings extensive volunteer experience that spans multiple countries and organizations. For over ten years, he has volunteered in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, supporting programs that help children with education, social development, and community empowerment. He has also volunteered with the USO in Drawsko Pomorskie, Poland, and at Fort Hood, Texas, providing assistance and programs for service members and their families. Additionally, Kerryl contributes his time to the American Red Cross at Fort Hood, offering support and resources to soldiers in need. Through VET Global Impact, Kerryl continues to leverage this experience to create meaningful programs that address the needs of veterans and their families, ensuring they have access to
essential services, support networks, and opportunities to thrive.

that directly improve the lives of veterans, service members, and their families
Family Support & English Language Learning
We provide English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for military spouses and family members through live Zoom sessions with experienced teachers. This flexible model allows adult learners to balance education with family responsibilities. Each student is registered and assessed to determine their proficiency level, ensuring personalized instruction that promotes confidence, independence, and stronger integration into military and civilian communities.
Education Benefit Guidance for Veterans and Service Members
We help service members and veterans maximize their education benefits, including:
• VA Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment (VR&E, Chapter 31)
• Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33)
• Montgomery GI Bill (Chapter 30)
• Army Tuition Assistance (TA)
Our team explains program eligibility, guides beneficiaries through application processes, and connects them with universities that align with both their academic goals and Department of Defense/VA requirements. We also educate them on how to strategically use their Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) — not only as financial support but also as a pathway to improved family stability and long-term success.
Transition & Claims Support
For service members separating from the military, we provide step-by-step guidance on navigating the VA claims process, helping them understand critical do’s and don’ts. Our goal is to prevent delays, denials, and unnecessary stress while ensuring they access the full benefits they have earned.
Employment Readiness & Workforce Integration
We support veterans and service members struggling with employment by:
• Connecting them to state and federal resources such as child care assistance and
unemployment benefits through the Texas Workforce Commission.
• Providing access to civilian and federal résumé workshops, job fairs, and programs like
Hire Our Heroes.
• Sharing curated resources, links, and training opportunities that prepare them for
competitive careers.
Mental Health & Suicide Prevention
Recognizing the growing crisis of veteran suicide, we offer a peer support network led by veterans who understand these struggles firsthand. We provide safe, empathetic conversations while connecting individuals to broader resources such as the Veterans Crisis Line and specialized mental health services beyond our scope.
Addressing the Needs of Foreign-Born Service Members & Families
Many military families face unique challenges when English is not their first language. NonEnglish-speaking spouses are often isolated during deployments, leading to depression and anxiety. Through our ESL program and culturally sensitive support, we give these families the tools to thrive, stay connected, and feel empowered as integral members of the military community.
