Jeunesse Congo
BOMOKO Jeunesse Congo is a youth-led grassroots association and a proud
program of VET Global Impact, operating in the heart of Kinshasa,
Democratic Republic of Congo. Its mission is to uplift and empower
Congolese youth who face systemic barriers to education, employment, and
entrepreneurship.
For decades, young people in Congo have endured the ripple effects of prolonged conflict in the eastern region—marked by displacement, poverty, and trauma. In Kinshasa, these challenges manifest as high unemployment, limited access to vocational training, and a lack of mentorship or funding
for innovative projects. Many youth are eager to contribute to their communities but lack the tools, networks, and opportunities to do so.
BOMOKO Jeunesse Congo responds with action. Through this program, VET Global Impact delivers:
- Technology and digital literacy training to prepare youth for remote work and global opportunities
- Entrepreneurship workshops and mentorship to help young innovators launch sustainable projects
- Leadership development and community engagement to foster civic responsibility and resilience
- Partnerships with local and international organizations to expand access to resources, funding, and visibility
Together, we are building a generation of changemakers—young Congolese leaders who are equipped not only to survive, but to thrive, innovate, and transform their communities from within.
BOMOKO Jeunesse Congo – Empowering the Next Generation of
Congolese Leaders
Promoting Civic, Patriotic, and Personal Awareness We cultivate a strong sense of civic duty, national pride, and personal growth among Congolese youth. Through workshops, mentorship, and community
engagement, we help young people understand their rights, responsibilities,
and the power of their voice in shaping a more inclusive and resilient society.
Providing Free Vocational Training We offer hands-on vocational training programs often led by American instructors and international partners that equip youth with marketable skills in areas such as technology, entrepreneurship, agriculture, and trades. These programs are designed to
bridge the gap between education and employment, preparing participants
for real-world success.
Creating Diverse Employment Opportunities We actively connect youth
to a range of employment pathways, including remote work, internships,
apprenticeships, and local job placements. By partnering with businesses,
NGOs, and global networks, we open doors to sustainable careers that
reflect the diverse talents and aspirations of Congolese youth.
Raising Awareness on Conduct, Responsibility, and Development We
deliver targeted campaigns and educational sessions focused on ethical
behavior, civic responsibility, and personal development. These initiatives
foster leadership, accountability, and emotional intelligence—qualities
essential for building strong communities and responsible citizens.
Advocating for Youth Inclusion and Empowerment We serve as a
trusted voice for Congolese youth, engaging with local authorities,
policymakers, and influential leaders to promote youth-centered policies
and inclusive development. Through advocacy and dialogue, we ensure that
young people are not only heard—but actively involved in shaping their
future.
Social Action & Awareness Campaigns
BOMOKO Jeunesse Congo, in partnership with VET Global Impact, leads
dynamic campaigns that inspire civic responsibility, community
engagement, and youth empowerment across Kinshasa and beyond. Our
initiatives are designed to build leadership, foster unity, and create real
pathways to opportunity.

Civic Engagement & Capacity-Building Conferences We organize
interactive conferences focused on education access, entrepreneurship,
civic responsibility, and personal development. These events bring
together youth, educators, and community leaders to exchange ideas, build
skills, and ignite action toward a more inclusive and informed society.

Community Clean-Up & Environmental Stewardship Our youth-led
clean-up campaigns promote public health, environmental awareness,
and local pride. Starting in Kinshasa and expanding to other provinces,
these initiatives encourage young people to take ownership of their
neighborhoods and model responsible citizenship.

Recreational Events & Youth Unity We host municipal football
tournaments, cultural festivals, and recreational gatherings that foster
teamwork, mentorship, and cross-community dialogue. These events
strengthen social bonds and offer safe, uplifting spaces for youth to connect
and grow.

Virtual Job Training & Remote Work Readiness We deliver online
training programs in digital literacy, freelancing, and remote work skills—
preparing youth for global employment opportunities. Through virtual
workshops and mentorship, we help participants build competitive profiles
and access income beyond geographic limitations.

Advocacy & Youth Representation We engage with local authorities,
policy makers, and influential leaders to amplify the voices of Congolese
youth. Through structured dialogue and strategic advocacy, we promote
youth inclusion in decision-making and champion policies that support
education, employment, and empowerment.

01. Project Funding & Mentorship
We believe in the power and potential of
Congolese youth. BOMOKO identifies and supports youth-led initiatives
that demonstrate clear socio-economic impact. Through mentorship,
strategic guidance, and micro-grants, we help young innovators turn ideas
into action—whether launching community services, small businesses, or
social enterprises. Our goal is to nurture leadership, creativity, and
sustainable development from the ground up. -
2. Education & Vocational Training
In collaboration with Congolese, American, and international instructors, we offer free, high-impact training programs that equip youth with practical, in-demand skills. Areas of focus include:

- Administrative Assistance
- Project Management
- Online Customer Service
Each program is designed to meet global employment standards, and
participants receive a certificate of completion to strengthen their
professional profiles and job readiness -
3. Job Opportunities & Outreach
Navigating the Congolese job market can be challenging, so BOMOKO takes a proactive and global approach. We teach youth how to market their skills for online work, build competitive digital portfolios, and access remote employment opportunities across borders. We also share local job listings, offer application support, and connect participants to career resources that match their goals and backgrounds.
